Before your Tattoo appointment

  • Lightly exfoliate the area once or twice a week for up to 3 weeks ahead of your appointment. Removing dead skin can lead to a smoother tattoo application.

  • Lotion the area once or twice a day in the weeks leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin is great for tattooing!

  • Get a solid nights rest the night before your appointment. You’ll want to be as comfortable and rested as possible. Avoid going out the night before.

  • Eat a good meal before your appointment. Your body is going to need all the nutrients it can get during your session. It’ll keep you comfortable and help sustain your blood sugar.

  • Stay hydrated. Start consciously drinking water the night before your appointment. Drinking water will hydrate your skin, which makes it great for tattooing. Do not drink alcohol the night before or day of your appointment.
